Hello and welcome-to everyone.
We appreciate who you are, what you do, and where you hope to go.
The Crown Magnolia Court of Georgia (CMCG) works to educate and advocate for the LGBTQIA and the allied community of Georgia. The Court promotes social tolerance through the production and inaction of drag performance art. The CMCG works to eliminate the historical oppression and homophobia of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queen, intersex, and asexual individuals in the South. This is done by creating a safe and welcoming environment through the production of events which explore multiple gender expressions in a fun, safe, and educational manner.
We also raise funds to distribute to charitable organizations within the LGBT community of its choosing.
We envision a Georgia that is more tolerant and accepting to those with differing gender, gender expression and sexual orientation, where these differences are not only tolerated but celebrated for their individuality and diversity. We envision uniting the LGBT community in the realm Georgia, so as united we can lift up and protect our community from homophobia in the South.
The curated Monarchy system that is CMCG orchestrates itself as a funding vessel for the underserved demographics of the LGBTQ+ community. The platform strategizes through drag performance events, mission-driven fundraising, and unique community programming across Georgia. A portion of all proceeds raised are donated to local charities as designated by the members. Current selected non-profit beneficiaries include Golden Harvest Food Bank in Augusta (https://goldenharvest.org/) and Jerusalem House in Atlanta. (https://jerusalemhouse.org/). Additional donations and sponsorships are made, such as a 2021 sponsorship of the Augusta Pride event. (http://prideaugusta.org/)
